Collection Spotlight: Sterling Reputation’s New Message Collection

Perhaps it’s in reaction to the winter chill settling in over the South Floridian beaches near where Sterling Reputation is located, or maybe it’s stemming from owner Steven Berkowitz’s own deeply spiritual side—either way, the silver manufacturer and importer is warming up inventory by unveiling the first few pieces of an inspiring new message collection.

Berkowitz praises his longtime staff designer Pearl Woei for the styles. Woei has been responsible for most of what his firm has done to date—what he describes as classic diamond-looking jewelry (think tennis bracelets) in silver with CZ. This collection, however, offers a change with inspirational phrases, like a pendant that reads “Every great oak started out as a nut that decided to stand its ground”; charms, such as padlocks, keys, and angels; and motherhood-centric pieces, like a bracelet with adjustable lariats adorned with a large open heart that reads Mommy along with the words & Me dangling from the ends.

While the collection is still in the developmental stages, Berkowitz expects it to consist of plain silver without stones. One definite on the finishes: “The lariat clasp is a patented Italian push-button clasp—not the silicone-filled clasp everyone else is using,” he says. Expect to see a fuller collection by JCK Las Vegas 2017. To date, retail prices start at a keystone price of $49.
