Natural Color Diamond Association (NCDIA) is launching NCDIA Asia, in cooperation with the Asian Institute of Gemological Sciences (AIGS).
The new Bangkok-based group will, like its U.S.-based counterpart, aim to expand appreciation and understanding for natural colored diamonds among consumers in the region.
AIGS president Barbara Wheat will head up NCDIA Asia. Wheat is the former executive vice president of NCDIA.
NCDIA president Alan Bronstein said in a statement that “AIGS will be [NCDIA’s] hub in Asia for expanding our education and relationships with wholesalers, retailers, and consumers.”
