OJ Simpson's Ashes Turned into Jewelry

The remains of OJ Simpson have been turned into lab grown gems for his four children.

His attorney and executor Malcolm LaVergne said Arnelle, Jason, Sydney and Justin each now had a jewelry item as a keepsake.

Simpson died of cancer, aged 76, in April. The former American footballer, actor, and media personality, was best known for being accused of murdering of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman in 1994.

He was was acquitted of all charges but was subsequently found liable for wrongful deaths, resulting in a $33.5m judgment against him. He was later imprisoned for robbery and kidnapping in Las Vegas.

“Each sibling was able to get jewelry, a reminder of their father to have with them,” LaVergne told People magazine, at a total cost of just over $4,000, though he did not provide details of the jewelry items.

By extracting carbon, human ashes can be used to create lab grown diamonds, as well as other lab grown gems.
