The Gujarat Regional office of The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) last week hosted two separate programmes for the trade to facilitate clarifications on various issues and resolution of various issues.
The first programme, held on Sept 15, 2017 was an interaction with the Commerce Secretary, Government of India, Smt Rita Teaotia, IAS and Jt. Secretary, MoC&I, Shri Manoj Dwivedi. The session saw lively discussion on a number of issues related to the diamond and jewellery trade and possible steps that could be taken for their resolution.
The next day, Sept 16, 2017, members of the trade were addressed by Shri Saket Kumar, branch head, ECGC Ltd Surat. He offered valuable guidance to trade members on the various ECGC schemes and solutions that are available for trade credit insurance. This meeting was planned and coordinated under the MSME help desk initiative of the GJEPC RO in Surat.
