Jewelers of America and MJSA Unite to Forge a Stronger Industry Alliance

In a landmark move poised to reshape the landscape of the U.S. jewellery sector, Jewelers of America (JA) and the Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America (MJSA) have announced a strategic affiliation. The agreement, officially approved by both organizations’ boards and ratified by MJSA’s membership in April, will integrate MJSA under the JA banner.

This affiliation represents a powerful unification of the industry’s manufacturing and retail segments, designed to strengthen advocacy, streamline collaboration, and enhance the collective value offered to members across the supply chain—from designers and manufacturers to retailers.

Commenting on the development, MJSA Board Chair Edward DeCristofaro highlighted the changing dynamics of the industry: “The historical divide between manufacturing and retail is no longer relevant. Today, both segments are facing similar challenges, whether it’s navigating tariffs or adapting to evolving consumer demands. This collaboration ensures we’re better equipped to respond with unified solutions. MJSA’s role in providing resources like tools, materials, and technical expertise will now be more accessible to a broader community.”

Coleman Clark, Chair of the JA Board, echoed this optimism, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome MJSA into the Jewelers of America family. This partnership is a timely response to the complexities of today’s market. It will offer members a richer suite of benefits by combining the strengths of both organizations. As the industry continues to evolve, a unified voice is not just beneficial—it’s essential.”

The affiliation signals a new era of cooperation within the jewellery sector, focused on shared growth, innovation, and advocacy.
