Tanishq, India’s leading jewelry brand and a flagship of the Tata Group, is ramping up its U.S. footprint with plans to launch over 15 new stores across the country within the next 12 to 18 months. The move is part of the brand’s broader international push to serve the growing and increasingly influential Indian diaspora.

Since opening its debut U.S. location in Iselin, New Jersey in January 2023, Tanishq has steadily expanded with new outlets in key Indian-American hubs—Houston and Dallas in Texas, Chicago in Illinois, Redmond in Washington, and Atlanta in Georgia. With seven stores now operational, the upcoming wave of launches signals the brand’s intent to become a household name among Indian communities in the U.S.

“Our expansion is guided by where the diaspora lives, celebrates, and shops,” said Amrit Pal Singh, Business Head – Jewelry, at Tanishq. “Indian Americans are a vibrant and diverse audience, and we want to be part of their milestones—from festivals and weddings to everyday luxury.”

The brand’s strategic entry into the U.S. taps into an audience of nearly 4.5 million Indian Americans—many of whom seek the craftsmanship, tradition, and design sensibility of Indian jewelry, paired with the convenience of local access.

Tanishq’s international ambitions don’t stop at the U.S. With stores already established in Dubai and Singapore, and an expanding presence in the UK, Canada, Australia, Oman, Bahrain, and Malaysia, the retailer is targeting 40 to 50 international locations by 2026.

By blending its deep design heritage with modern retail sensibilities, Tanishq is positioning itself as the go-to brand for global Indians who still want their jewelry to reflect the traditions they hold dear—even thousands of miles from home.
