Gems of the World adds new lustre to sales team

Pearl jewellery specialists Gems of the World (Europe) Limited has added lustre to its global sales team with new managerial appointments.

The pearl jewellery manufacturer has welcomed Benjamin Caplan and Gary Djanogly to its expanding global sales team.

Between them they bring more than 40 years of jewellery knowledge and customer service experience.

Caplan has in-depth pearl knowledge following his time as UK sales manager for Europe Pearls and Yoko London, while Djanogly started his career at Graff Diamonds before working in Hatton Garden.

The new appointments come off the back of the recent merger between Gems of the World (Europe) Limited and YV Brands. Both businesses now sit under the YV Group umbrella.

The merger is a progressive and strategic move and will continue to facilitate the ever-evolving ways retailers now interact with their supply chains.

“Buyers are looking to work with suppliers who can listen and curate bespoke collections, which is what we do very well,” shares Steve Rosenbaum, partner of YV Group.

“By bringing in more diverse expertise, we are able to extend our creativity and collaborate with not only our existing retailers, but a range of new and exciting ones, facilitating long term success, for all parties involved.”

Caplan says consumers now have more choice and avenues than ever before. This means suppliers need to have “extensive product knowledge” and be prepared to work with retailers to develop new and exciting pearl lines that show a point of difference from their competitors.

Djanogly comments: “In times of difficult market conditions, the Gems of the World range is a pleasure to present; it’s modern and stylish but with a classic appeal to customers of all ages.”
