GJEPC Hosts 59th Annual General Meeting in Hybrid Format

The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) convened its 59th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 23rd September 2025 at 12:00 PM IST, adopting a hybrid model that allowed members to attend either in person at the Bharat Diamond Bourse, Mumbai, or virtually via video conferencing.

In line with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) guidelines, members exercised their voting rights electronically on the proposed resolutions through a remote e-voting system held from 20th to 22nd September 2025. The Council’s Annual Report was also shared digitally and made accessible on its official website under the Legal & Secretarial Compliances section, reinforcing its commitment to digital transparency.

The agenda for the meeting included:

  • Approval of the Council’s audited financial statements for FY 2024–25.

  • Appointment of branch auditors for regional offices.

  • Regularisation of newly elected members of the Committee of Administration (CoA) as Directors of the Council.

During the AGM, the CoA members elected in the 2024 elections were formally inducted as Directors. The newly regularised members include Mr. Shaunak Parikh, Mr. Anoop Mehta, Mr. Anilkumar Virani, Mr. Pankaj Parekh, Mr. Krishnamoorthy Srinivasan, Mr. Jayantibhai Savaliya, Mr. Ashishkumar Borda, Mr. Antarpal Singh Sawhney, Mr. Mansukhlal Kothari, Mr. Manish Jiwani, Mr. Dwarka Prasad Khandelwal, Ms. Khushbu Ranawat, and Mr. Mahender Tayal.

Presiding over the proceedings, Mr. Kirit Bhansali, Chairman, GJEPC, underscored the Council’s dedication to upholding transparency, compliance, and active member participation. He reiterated GJEPC’s commitment to strengthening governance frameworks while ensuring greater engagement with the industry it represents.
