The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) successfully concluded the ninth edition of its three-day “How to Begin Gem & Jewellery Exports” training programme in New Delhi, reinforcing its commitment to developing a skilled and globally competitive exporter base for India’s gem and jewellery industry.
Hosted by the Council’s Delhi Regional Office, the programme attracted 12 participants, including entrepreneurs, new exporters and industry professionals seeking to expand into international markets. The intensive training offered a comprehensive understanding of the export process, covering topics such as export documentation, customs procedures, Foreign Trade Policy, regulatory compliance, government incentive schemes, international market opportunities and business expansion strategies.
The sessions were conducted by Ranjan Upreti, an expert in foreign trade, along with GJEPC officials Mithlesh Pandey, Ashish Sakhardande, Ashutosh Srivastava and Sanjay Madaan, who shared practical insights and industry knowledge to help participants navigate the complexities of global trade.
In addition to technical training, attendees were introduced to GJEPC’s wide range of export support services, including market development initiatives, international trade fairs, business networking platforms, exporter assistance programmes and capacity-building activities aimed at strengthening India’s export ecosystem.
The programme concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony led by Antarpal Singh Sawhney, Regional Chairman (North), GJEPC. In his closing remarks, Sawhney encouraged participants to prioritise regulatory compliance, ethical business conduct, thorough due diligence and effective risk management as essential pillars for building successful and sustainable export ventures in the global marketplace.
