The latest edition of JIS Spring wrapped up on a positive note, reinforcing its importance as an early-year sourcing hub for jewellery retailers preparing for the spring selling cycle. Organisers reported higher buyer turnout compared to previous editions, highlighting Miami Beach Convention Center as a strategic meeting point linking the US with Latin American and Caribbean markets.
Held from March 8 to 10, the show once again delivered a highly transactional environment, enabling retailers to secure inventory for the months ahead. With a mix of immediate cash-and-carry options and order-based purchasing, the event attracted a wide spectrum of buyers, including independent jewellers, regional chains and niche retailers.
Event director Sara McDonough emphasised the show’s practical value, noting that JIS Spring continues to provide a focused platform where real-time buying decisions take place. The combination of product accessibility, targeted networking and high engagement on the show floor contributed to a strong and efficient marketplace.
The exhibition covered a broad product mix, including fine jewellery, bridal collections, gold, silver and fashion jewellery. In 2026, organisers expanded the offering with the addition of accessories and gift categories, along with a new “Brands” pavilion spotlighting designer-led and branded collections—an increasingly influential segment in the global jewellery market.
A key highlight this year was the introduction of “On Trend With JIS,” a new interactive feature designed to bring education and community engagement directly onto the show floor. The informal, discussion-led sessions explored topics such as fluctuations in metal prices, evolving bridal demand, consumer buying patterns and retail strategies in a shifting economic landscape.
Exhibitors also reported strong engagement and meaningful business outcomes. Leslie Valdez of Ocean Jewelry described the event as both professionally rewarding and commercially effective, noting increased brand visibility, strong interest in collections and valuable opportunities to connect with both existing and new clients.
Building on this momentum, JIS will return to Miami for its Fall 2026 edition from October 16 to 19, while the next Spring show is scheduled for March 7 to 9, continuing its role as a key driver of seasonal jewellery trade activity.
