US rapper Pharrell Williams has launched his debut jewelry collection with Tiffany & Co.

The 51-year-old multiple Grammy Award winner, known for the 2013 hit Happy, has designed the Titan range of 19 rings, bracelets, necklaces, pendants and earrings priced at $3,500-$53,000.

They all feature a gold or black titanium spike motif inspired by the Poseidon – the Greek mythological figure who holds dominion over the sea, storms, earthquakes, and horses – and his trident, which is a symbol of fearless individuality.

“The detail in all of the jewelry pieces is very intentional, the use of black titanium…it’s a physical manifestation of beauty in blackness,” said Williams.

“The Tiffany Titan by Pharrell Williams collection defies the conventions of fine jewelry design,” said Alexandre Arnault, Tiffany’s executive vice president, product, communications and industrial.

“It represents a balance of Pharrell’s creative vision with Tiffany & Co.’s inventive craftsmanship.

Williams has collaborated in the past with Tiffany & Co with two pairs of diamond-encrusted sunglasses.
