Newish to the United States, the Les Georgettes line has it all: deep roots in manufacturing; the experience of artistic director Céline Guilhermet, a jewelry designer in her own right for 15 years; and French pedigrees all around. It’s a joint venture of Altesse, a jewelry manufacturer since 1905, and Texier, a maker of leather goods since 1951, both of which are part of France’s Renaissance Luxury Group. The parties’ combined talents and business acumen brought to life Les Georgettes, a line of gold-, silver-, and ruthenium-plated brass cuffs with reversible leather inserts. The patented concept comes in three different sizes and allows for maximum customization through 18 different colors of leather and 17 unique metalwork motifs. The pieces are made in France, and the designs are inspired by the life and travels of Guilhermet, who took the creative helm in 2015. On tap for Valentine’s Day: even more new looks, some of which will feature CZ accents.
