National Association of Jewelry Appraisers has strengthened its partnership with Instappraise by introducing a new scholarship aimed at advancing professional training in the jewellery appraisal sector.
The addition marks an expansion of their ongoing initiative to elevate global appraisal standards, encourage ethical practices, and make specialised education more accessible to both emerging and experienced professionals. Together, the two organisations are focused on building a stronger pipeline of skilled appraisers equipped with both technical expertise and industry integrity.
The newly introduced scholarship is tailored for NAJA-certified members pursuing the prestigious Certified Master Appraiser designation. Valued at $1,775, it includes access to advanced course modules—covering lessons 6 through 18 of the NAJA appraisal studies programme—along with a one-year subscription to the Instappraise platform.
In addition to this, the partnership continues to offer two existing scholarships catering to different career stages. One is designed for individuals with gemological training who are not yet NAJA members but wish to enter the field through formal certification. The other supports current NAJA members aiming to progress toward higher-level appraisal credentials.
Each of these scholarships, valued at $2,070, includes a year-long NAJA membership, introductory coursework (lessons 1 to 5), and full access to Instappraise’s digital tools.
According to Gail Brett Levine, Instappraise has played a key role in modernising the appraisal process by offering technology that improves consistency and efficiency across the profession.
Applications for all scholarships are open until June 15. Candidates are required to submit an essay outlining their experience, professional ambitions, and how the scholarship would impact their career, along with proof of recognised gemological qualifications. Programme timelines are structured to ensure consistent progress, with completion periods ranging from five to twelve months depending on the level.
The selected recipients will be announced during NAJA’s ACE it Mid-Year Education Conference scheduled for August 9–10, highlighting the initiative’s role in shaping the future of jewellery appraisal.
