US rapper Pharrell Williams has expanded his Tiffany & Co. collection with the introduction of freshwater pearl and diamonds set in necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings.

In May the 51-year-old multiple Grammy Award winner, known for the 2013 hit Happy, introduced the Titan range of 19 rings, bracelets, necklaces, pendants and earrings.

He has also collaborated with Tiffany in the past on two pairs of diamond-encrusted sunglasses.

The diamond and pearl designs draw on Williams’ upbringing at Virginia Beach, the resort city on the southeastern coast of Virginia, USA, that is known for its pearls.

They incorporate the trident of Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea, represented by a diamond spear motif.

“The inspiration of the collection comes from my affinity with the water,” Williams said in a statement.

“In Japan, it was believed that pearls were created from the tears of mythical water creatures; so I naturally gravitated towards them as a means of expressing this connection to the water.”
