ALROSA sells colored polished diamonds

DIAMONDS ALROSA, cutting and polishing division of ALROSA diamond mining company, has auctioned fancy coloured diamonds in Israel this November and sold the entire assortment – 262 polished diamonds with the total weight of 209.34 carats, including 15 rare pink diamonds weighing 15.31 carats.

The overall revenue from the sales of fancy coloured diamonds totalled USD 1.209 million.

In addition, the company put for the auction nine colourless diamonds with the total weight of 28.8 carats. All of them were sold for USD 347.5 thousand.

All the auctioned gemstones were manufactured from rough diamonds mined from the deposits of PJSC ALROSA, and its subsidiaries – Almazy Anabara and Nizhne-Lenskoye.

Pavel Vinikhin, Director of DIAMONDS ALROSA:
“The auction attracted 85 firms and Israeli clients were in the majority. Companies from Belgium, the USA and China were also the participants of the auction. Fancy coloured polished diamonds represented the main assortment of our November tender. Such pieces are always in great demand among our clients, especially the rare pink ones”.

DIAMONDS ALROSA is ALROSA’s own cutting and polishing division and one of Russia’s largest diamond manufacturers. It works with large rough diamonds over 1.8 carats, including special size rough diamonds and those with unique colour specifications. The bulk of products are sold by wholesale lots at monthly trading sessions, both for export and in the domestic market.
