The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) continued its nationwide promotional campaign for IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026 by hosting a Retailers’ Connect programme in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on June 30. The event brought together nearly 80 jewellery retailers, manufacturers, exporters, and industry professionals to discuss business opportunities and encourage greater participation in India’s flagship B2B gem and jewellery exhibition.
Organised in collaboration with the Coimbatore Jewellers Association and the Coimbatore Jewellers Manufacturers Association, the programme formed part of GJEPC’s ongoing efforts to engage regional jewellery hubs and strengthen industry participation ahead of IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026.
Opening the session, K. Srinivasan, Convenor of GJEPC’s Gold Panel, welcomed attendees and highlighted the growing export potential for Indian jewellery businesses. He encouraged retailers and manufacturers to explore overseas markets and leverage the various support initiatives offered by GJEPC to expand their global presence.
The gathering was also addressed by Sabarinath B., President of the Coimbatore Jewellers Association and the Tamil Nadu Jewellers Federation (TNJF), along with Muthuvenkatram B., President of the Coimbatore Jewellers Manufacturers Association. Both industry leaders emphasized the importance of collaboration and welcomed the increasing focus on export-oriented growth for jewellery businesses in the region.
A key feature of the programme was a comprehensive presentation by Mansukh Kothari, GJEPC Convenor for Events, who outlined the scale and significance of IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026. He showcased the exhibition’s role as a leading international sourcing platform, highlighting its ability to connect exhibitors with domestic and overseas buyers while creating new avenues for business expansion.
The session also focused on export readiness for small and medium-sized enterprises. Surya Narayan, Director – Southern Region, GJEPC, briefed participants on the export opportunities available to MSMEs and explained the Council’s various initiatives designed to help businesses enhance their export capabilities, improve competitiveness, and access global markets.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Coimbatore’s jewellery community, reflecting the region’s growing interest in international trade and export-driven growth. The positive response further reinforced the importance of IIJS Bharat Premiere as a key platform for business networking, market expansion, and showcasing Indian craftsmanship to buyers from around the world.
