India Post conducted a focused seminar in Jaipur on 26 March, aimed at encouraging exporters to tap into global e-commerce markets through the postal network. The session attracted more than 75 participants from diverse sectors, including strong representation from the gems and jewellery industry.
The seminar highlighted the role of the Dak Ghar Niryat Kendra initiative in simplifying export procedures, particularly for small and medium enterprises. Officials explained how the platform enables businesses to ship products internationally with streamlined documentation and competitive pricing.
Participants were introduced to a range of logistics solutions such as Express Mail Service (EMS), International Tracked Packet Service (ITPS), and Air Parcel services, all designed to support exporters looking for reliable and cost-efficient global delivery options.
The event also saw active participation from key organisations including Federation of Indian Export Organisations, Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council, Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts, Directorate General of Foreign Trade and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India, alongside representatives from Customs, MSME bodies and the state industries department. Experts shared insights on export regulations, incentives and emerging opportunities in cross-border trade.
Nitin Khandelwal also took part in the discussions, contributing industry perspectives from the gems and jewellery sector.
The session provided practical guidance for exporters on leveraging India Post’s vast network to access international markets more efficiently, reinforcing its role as a key enabler of grassroots export growth in India’s evolving e-commerce landscape.
