A new player has entered India’s evolving luxury watch landscape. Rotoris, a homegrown horology startup, has officially gone live with its digital platform, introducing a curated range of men’s timepieces positioned at the intersection of craftsmanship, philosophy and exclusivity.

Founded by Aakash Anand, Rotoris aims to redefine the emotional and cultural value of timekeeping. According to the founder, the brand’s core idea is rooted in the belief that time is not merely consumed but consciously shaped — a philosophy the company seeks to embed into its watchmaking narrative.

Backed by Influential Investors

The startup has drawn early support from over 40 investors, including entrepreneur Nikhil Kamath, content creator Tanmay Bhat, and actor-entrepreneur Vivek Anand Oberoi, signalling strong confidence in the brand’s premium positioning and long-term potential.

Rotoris’ technical direction is led by Harman Wadhwa, described by the company as the only Indian-trained watchmaker formally educated in Switzerland — a credential intended to reinforce the brand’s commitment to traditional horological standards.

Five Distinct Collections

The debut lineup features five thematic collections:

  • Monarch – crafted for leaders

  • Astonia – inspired by precision and measurement

  • Auriqua – designed for navigators

  • Arvion – focused on minimalism

  • Manifesta – centred on self-expression

Each piece incorporates elevated materials such as aventurine and mother-of-pearl dials, blending natural textures with mechanical precision. The watches are individually numbered, reinforcing their limited-production appeal.

Ownership by Invitation

Rather than opting for open e-commerce, Rotoris has adopted an access-request purchase model. Prospective buyers must apply online, wait for approval, and complete their transaction through a private checkout process. The approach introduces scarcity and community-driven exclusivity, aligning with global luxury trends that favour controlled distribution over mass availability.

Beyond product, the company is also building a “Friends and Partners” ecosystem — a curated network of entrepreneurs, creatives, athletes and cultural voices whose values align with the brand’s ethos of intentional living and self-determination.

A Premium Bet in India’s Growing Watch Market

With India’s appetite for homegrown luxury brands steadily expanding, Rotoris is positioning itself not simply as a watch label but as a movement built around identity and conscious ownership. Whether the invitation-only strategy can sustain long-term demand remains to be seen, but the launch signals rising ambition within India’s independent watchmaking ecosystem.
